CORONAVIRUSET COVID 19

Due to the increasingly serious infection situation in the country, here is important information on how we act and what it means for you as a relative or guardian.
The symptoms of Covid-19 are mild for most people (80%) and therefore the disease spreads quickly because many people do not think they are very sick. However, it can still be passed on to those at risk of becoming very seriously ill, such as the elderly or those with underlying conditions.
The most common symptoms are fever and dry cough. However, severe fatigue, respiratory problems, headache and sore throat may also occur.
From now on, anyone with symptoms of illness, even mild ones, will have to completely refrain from visiting any of our homes and from socializing with our residents elsewhere. If you are ill as a family, please advise your relatives not to travel home. All this out of concern for our residents and our staff.
For those who are healthy and come here, we recommend that you take care to wash your hands during your visit.
Of course, we do everything possible to ensure that our residents receive the support and services that are part of their mission as usual. However, if staff become infected, reassignment of staff or substitution will be necessary.
What we do to prevent the spread of infection
- Follow closely the evolution of the Covid-19 coronavirus and act in line with the authorities' recommendations.
- Informs users about the virus, the symptoms, what staff are doing, what users can do to reduce the spread and how to act if they feel symptoms.
- Follow action plans and reporting procedures.
- Prepares the organization for different types of scenarios.
- We follow and tighten our hygiene and cleaning procedures and use, among other things, disinfectants to reduce the risk of infection. Our staff are used to dealing with situations where the spread of infection may occur.
More information about the virus and the infection is available on the websites 1177.se and folkhalsomyndigheten.se.
